You will apply your derivatives expertise to support a high-performing legal team, providing strategic advice on complex transactional and regulatory matters. This role suits someone who can hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

Advise on derivatives transactions, including OTC derivatives, trading documentation, and regulatory frameworks.
Draft, review, and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support documentation, confirmations, and related agreements.
Manage complex derivatives projects from inception to execution.
Provide strategic legal advice to trading, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and manage legal, regulatory, and commercial risks associated with derivatives trading.
Support banking, trading, and investment businesses on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.

About you:

Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience as a financial services lawyer.
Strong track record in private practice or in-house within banking, trading, or financial services.
Demonstrated expertise in derivatives documentation and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent transactional management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong commercial judgement and pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

Current Australian practising certificate.
