Top-tier law firm seeks a fund formation attorney with 2–7 years' experience to join its New York corporate/finance team. The role focuses on formation and structuring of private investment funds and advising sponsors and investors across fund lifecycle matters.

Work will include sponsor-level entity work (GP and management company issues), fund formation transactions and secondary transactions involving LP and portfolio-company interests. Candidates should be comfortable working on complex transactions in a national or international firm environment.

2–7 years of private investment fund formation experience
Experience representing both sponsors and investors on fund formation matters
Track record with sponsor-level transactions and secondaries (LP and/or portfolio-company interests)
Experience in the corporate/finance group of a national or international law firm and strong academic credentials
