The hire will work on sponsor- and investor-side engagements across venture capital, growth equity, impact and crossover funds, handling formation documents, private placement materials, subscription agreements, side letters, and advisory committee governance.
This is a partnership-track position offering significant client responsibility, partner mentorship, and exposure to a steady pipeline of fund and co-investment work. The role also involves advising on regulatory and compliance matters for private fund advisers.
The team works with a broad range of fund managers and institutional limited partners; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently are essential.
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 4–6 years of law firm experience in private fund formation and investment management
- Experience representing fund sponsors and/or institutional investors (limited partners)
- Familiarity with venture/growth equity funds, co-investment and secondary structures, and relevant SEC/state regulatory frameworks
- Active bar membership or eligibility for prompt admission; strong written and verbal communication skills
