Seeking an interim Commercial Contracts Lawyer for a 7-month maternity cover with a major global banking client. This is a full-time, hybrid role (approximately two days per week on-site in London) starting as soon as possible.

The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and facility-related contract clauses, advising on related regulatory and sanctions risks, and supporting filings, breach reports and licence applications. You will work closely with the client legal and business teams as part of a flexible resourcing programme backed by a leading international law firm.

Successful candidates will be supported by a sponsoring firm team and have access to internal know‑how and training while on assignment. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must hold the relevant right to work in the UK.

Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years PQE (open to more senior candidates)
Strong commercial contracts experience, including amending and negotiating financing/financial agreements
Experience in a bank, financial institution or regulated industry required
Pragmatic approach to risk and commercial compromise; effective stakeholder management
Sanctions experience desirable (training can be provided)
Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
