International Disputes Partner — Tokyo

Leading global law firm seeks an experienced international disputes partner to join its Tokyo disputes team. The role will focus on cross-border litigation and international arbitration across a variety of commercial sectors.

We are looking for a commercially minded partner able to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes and to work closely with regional and international colleagues on high-value matters. The appointment is broad in scope — not limited to IP — and will include both arbitration and court-based work.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of leading cases, developing client relationships, and contributing to business development in Asia.

• Established partner with significant experience in international arbitration and cross-border commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to lead matters and manage teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes.
• Strong commercial awareness and client-development skills; experience with a portable practice or ability to generate new business preferred.
• Admission to practice in relevant jurisdiction(s) and fluency in English; Japanese language skills a plus.
