Top-tier US law firm is seeking a mid-level associate for its Investigations, Compliance and Defense practice in the Chicago office. The role offers substantive responsibility on complex matters, including fact development, client counseling, agency engagement, oral advocacy, legal research and drafting.

The team works collaboratively and moves at a fast pace; the successful candidate will handle varied investigative and regulatory matters and contribute to strategic legal analysis and writing. Candidates coming directly from federal judicial clerkships are also encouraged to apply.

3–5 years of post-qualification experience in investigations, regulatory defense, or related practice areas
Membership in the Illinois bar required
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills; strong legal research and drafting ability
Detail-oriented, independent, and able to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative teams
Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to pro bono representation
