Join a national conflicts team supporting new business intake, lateral hiring, risk management and conflicts clearance for a large, multi-office law firm. You will identify, analyze and resolve ethical conflicts, prepare clearance memoranda and advise attorneys on jurisdictional rules and firm policy.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive conflicts searches, drafting engagement letters/waivers and ethical-wall documentation, maintaining the conflicts database, and collaborating with lawyers, the legal operations team and counsel to facilitate timely resolutions. The role also supports software implementation and may participate in after-hours on-call rotations for urgent matters.

This is a hybrid or fully remote role with candidates expected to reside within a commutable distance of an applicable office. The team offers structured training, mentorship and career-development opportunities within the conflicts function.

  • J.D. and active U.S. law license
  • Approximately 2 years' relevant experience in a large law firm conflicts department or equivalent associate experience
  • Practical knowledge of ABA Model Rules and jurisdictional professional conduct rules
  • Experience with Intapp (or similar) conflicts/new-business intake software and proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong legal research, analytical judgment, written communication and attention to detail; ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours/on-call coverage
