An established Property & Liability team in Scotland is hiring a Junior to Senior Associate to handle complex property damage, liability and subrogation matters. The role is available in Edinburgh or Glasgow and sits within a market-leading insurance practice acting for major insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients.

You will manage a diverse, high-value caseload, provide commercially focused advice on coverage and recoveries, supervise junior lawyers, and contribute to business development and client relationship work. The team works collaboratively across an international network and handles technically demanding, high-profile claims.

Minimum 1+ PQE with admission as a solicitor in Scotland and current Law Society of Scotland practising certificate.
Strong technical knowledge of insurance law, coverage issues and subrogation/recovery procedures.
Proven ability to manage complex, high-volume caseloads with minimal supervision and excellent drafting skills.
Experience acting for insurers, reinsurers or large commercial clients; strong advocacy, negotiation and analytical abilities.
Demonstrable experience supervising or mentoring junior fee-earners and contributing to business development.
