A national full-service law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment attorney to join its Kansas City office. The role sits in a busy employment practice that handles litigation, counseling and training for clients across multiple jurisdictions.

The position requires regular client contact and collaboration with colleagues across offices. The successful candidate will manage matters from pleadings through motion practice and depositions, and will provide practical, defensible advice to employers and other clients.

Admission to practice in Missouri
3–15 years of employment law experience
Prior employment litigation experience required; management-side experience preferred
Experience drafting/responding to discovery and initial pleadings, preparing and arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions
Strong writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team; significant client contact expected
