Senior-level labor & employment associate position in a large Los Angeles practice, focused on counseling employers on day-to-day workplace issues and compliance. The role advises HR teams, in‑house counsel and business leaders across a range of industries and requires practical, business‑minded guidance tailored to client operations and culture.

Responsibilities include counseling on wage-and-hour compliance, leaves and accommodations, employee relations, restructurings and terminations, policy and handbook development, and conducting audits and internal investigations. The team values attorneys who combine strong legal judgment with client service and risk‑management skills.

  • 7–10 years of labor & employment counseling experience, including California and national employer-side matters
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California, in good standing
  • Substantial experience with wage & hour compliance, leaves of absence, disability accommodations, employee discipline/terminations, and workforce reductions
  • Proven experience drafting and implementing employee handbooks, workplace policies, and employment-related agreements
  • Experience conducting workplace audits, internal investigations, management training, and risk assessments; occupational health/safety or prevailing wage compliance experience preferred
  • Strong client-facing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work closely with HR and business stakeholders
