Land Use & Environmental Associate

A California-based role for an associate to join a busy land use and environmental practice. The team handles CEQA-related writ litigation, land use entitlements, and regulatory counseling under state and federal environmental laws. The position is focused on litigation and counseling work arising from development and environmental review matters.

Preferred office locations are in California (Los Angeles / Century City or Newport Beach). The team will consider candidates with strong litigation skills who can transfer into land use and environmental matters. This role requires active admission to the California bar and strong research and writing abilities.

• Minimum 3 years' experience, including writ-based CEQA litigation, California housing law litigation, or traditional environmental litigation
• Experience with land use entitlements and CEQA analyses; regulatory counseling under state/federal environmental statutes preferred
• Strong research and writing skills and excellent academic credentials
• Admission to the California bar required
• Ability to work on-site a minimum of three days per week
