Leading international firm is seeking an experienced IP partner to join its Munich office to strengthen its contentious IP capability. The role will focus on German patent litigation and cases before the Unified Patent Court, complementing an existing soft-IP practice in the office.

The successful candidate will lead patent‑litigation instructions, manage UPC strategy and hearings, and develop or bring a portable practice to grow the contentious IP bench in Germany. This is a senior, client-facing role with responsibility for team leadership and business generation.

Proven experience in German patent litigation and Unified Patent Court proceedings.
Established record of leading contentious IP matters and courtroom experience.
Demonstrable client-development capability; portable practice desirable.
Admission or right to practise in Germany and strong English/German communication skills.
