Apply in confidence →Leading Canadian firm seeks a lateral partner to join a busy Antitrust & Competition and IP practice in the Toronto office. The role is client-facing and focuses on delivering high-value regulatory, competition and IP advice to sophisticated domestic and cross-border clients.
The firm is open to experienced service partners in highly specialized areas where there is strategic need, with particular interest in telecommunications and IP-related practices and potential crossover with competition work. Litigation-focused partners are not being considered at this time.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong client relationships and a track record of originating and growing business; equity partnership may be reserved for candidates with a larger portable practice, while high-quality hires with a solid portable practice could join on a non-equity partner or counsel basis.
- Established partner-level experience in antitrust/competition and/or intellectual property law.
- Proven client-development and business-generation track record with a portable practice.
- Bar admission and standing in the relevant Canadian jurisdiction; ability to work in Toronto.
- Strong commercial judgment, team leadership and ability to work on cross-border matters.
