Apply in confidence →Seeking an experienced partner to lead and grow a bankruptcy, restructuring and finance practice in the Portland office of a global law firm. The role will focus on creditor-side work, distressed-debt matters, restructurings and related finance transactions.
The partner will handle complex chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings, represent lenders and creditors, and advise on workout, claims and enforcement issues. The position involves client development, managing and mentoring junior lawyers, and collaborating with national practice teams on cross‑border or multi‑jurisdictional matters.
Portable business is welcome; the firm is looking for a proven rainmaker or originating partner who can contribute immediately while building the local platform.
- Admission to the state bar (or eligibility) where Portland matters will be handled.
- Established partner-level experience in bankruptcy, restructuring and creditor-side finance work.
- Proven track record on creditor representations, distressed‑debt transactions and restructurings.
- Demonstrable business development and client origination skills; portable book of business preferred.
- Experience managing teams and supervising associates on complex matters.
- Strong writing, courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills.
