Lateral Partner, Commercial Litigation — Washington, D.C.

Leading global law firm seeks a commercial litigation partner to join its U.S. litigation platform. The role is best suited to an experienced trial lawyer with a portable practice or demonstrable client relationships in disputes arising from corporate transactions and private equity matters.

Litigation hiring is selective: the firm will consider exceptional, business-carrying candidates on an opportunistic basis. Strong business fit with the firm’s industry and transactional strengths is more important than headcount or volume.

• Established partner with substantial commercial litigation experience (trial and arbitration experience a plus)
• Portable client relationships or a clear record of originating business; demonstrable client mix in M&A, private equity or fund-related disputes preferred
• Experience handling cross-border or multi-jurisdictional disputes advantageous
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills; ability to lead teams and develop client solutions
