Leading, well‑established German law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Stuttgart office to lead and grow its compliance and banking regulatory practice. The role focuses on advising financial institutions and corporate clients on regulatory obligations, compliance programs and cross‑border regulatory matters.

The successful candidate will steward client relationships, lead deal- and advisory‑oriented matters, and collaborate with national and international teams. The firm is open to candidates with an existing portable practice and will consider varying book‑of‑business levels.

Partner‑level experience in compliance/regulatory work and financial services regulatory matters.
Proven client development track record; portable practice desirable.
Strong knowledge of banking regulation and compliance frameworks; experience with cross‑border regulatory issues.
Excellent German and English communication skills and experience leading lawyer teams.
