Lateral Partner — Compliance & Regulatory & Litigation — New York

Leading US law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its New York team focused on compliance, regulatory matters and litigation with a technology and privacy component. The role will be client-facing, combining regulatory counseling and contentious work across privacy/data protection and related regulatory enforcement matters.

The successful candidate will lead matters, develop business and advise corporate and institutional clients on regulatory risk, investigations and privacy-compliance programs, while supervising junior lawyers. This is a partner-level opening suited to an experienced lawyer with a portable practice or demonstrable origination capability.

• Established partner-level experience in regulatory compliance, privacy/data protection and related litigation or enforcement work
• Proven record of business development, client management and leading teams
• Admissions appropriate for practice in New York (state bar or equivalent)
• Strong drafting, advocacy and counseling skills; experience with technology-related regulatory issues preferred
