Lateral Partner — Corporate & Finance (Private Equity / Venture Capital) — New York

Senior corporate partner sought to join a major national firm’s New York practice, splitting time between private equity, venture capital and related corporate and financings. The role will handle complex buyouts, growth financings, minority investments and associated corporate governance and commercial work.

The team advises sponsor and strategic clients across the capital structure and works closely with finance colleagues on leveraged and growth financings. This role is a rainmaker seat: the firm is looking for a partner with an established transactional practice and a track record of originating and leading deals.

• Partner-level transactional experience in private equity and/or venture capital matters.
• Proven ability to originate and manage client relationships and lead deal teams; a portable practice is highly desirable.
• Admission to the New York bar (or ability to gain admission) and broad experience with buyouts, minority investments, and associated financings.
• Excellent communication, business development and client-management skills appropriate to a senior partner role.
