Lateral Partner — Corporate / M&A & Capital Markets — New York

A major international law firm is expanding its New York corporate practice and seeks a lateral partner to lead and grow M&A and capital markets work. The role will focus on cross-border and domestic transactions, private equity and issuer-side capital markets matters, and work with clients across technology, life sciences, financial services and energy.

The team values partners who can originate and develop client relationships, collaborate with IP and technology teams on transactional and contentious matters, and help build an emerging growth / startups offering. The office is prioritizing significant growth and welcomes candidates with an established portable practice or demonstrable origination record.

• Proven partner-level experience in M&A, private equity and capital markets (issuer-side experience a plus).
• Portable client relationships or clear track record of business origination and revenue generation.
• Experience advising technology, life sciences, financial services or energy clients preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across litigation, IP and technology practices and on cross-border matters.
• Admitted to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction(s) and comfortable with partner leadership responsibilities.
