Lateral Partner — Corporate / M&A, Chicago

Experienced corporate partner opportunity with a prominent national law firm’s Chicago office. The role focuses on leading corporate and transactional matters, with an emphasis on M&A and corporate governance.

The team advises a broad range of clients on buy- and sell-side transactions, complex governance issues and general corporate counseling. The office is seeking a partner who can originate work, deepen client relationships and manage deal execution.

• Established transactional/M&A practice with a demonstrable track record of leading deals and client engagements.
• Experience supervising attorneys and managing deal teams; strong project and relationship management skills.
• Comfort with business development and maintaining a portable practice; ability to generate and grow client work.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and strategic advisory abilities.
