Lateral Partner — Corporate / M&A, Palo Alto

Seeking a lateral partner to join a leading US law firm’s corporate practice in Palo Alto. The role focuses on M&A and transactional matters, advising strategic and private equity clients across complex deals and corporate governance issues.

You will join a busy, cross-office corporate team that handles middle‑market and larger strategic transactions. The group works closely with other practice areas on multiparty and cross-border matters.

The firm is looking for a partner with an established transactional practice, strong client relationships and a track record of originating and leading deals. A portable client base or demonstrable business development capability is desirable.

• Partner-level transactional/M&A experience advising on complex deals and corporate governance.
• Proven client development skills and ability to originate work; portable client relationships preferred.
• Strong negotiation, drafting and deal‑management abilities; experience mentoring junior lawyers.
• Bar admission or eligibility to practice in California (or willingness to obtain admission).
