Leading law firm with Canadian offices is building its corporate practice and seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow M&A, private equity and commercial real estate work, with tax advisory capability valued. The role is focused on originating and executing transactions and advising mid-market and sponsor clients across corporate and commercial real estate matters.

This is a partner-level opening that welcomes candidates with an established or emerging portable practice. The firm has no strict minimum book requirement and will consider partners who bring business potential as well as those with an existing client base. Litigation is a secondary area of interest but not the primary need for this hire.

Partner-level experience in M&A, private equity and/or commercial real estate transactions
Proven track record of advising on corporate transactions and tax-sensitive deals (tax experience an asset)
Demonstrable business development capability; growing or portable practice welcomed (no strict minimum book required)
Admission to practice in Ontario or eligibility to transfer; experience with Canadian corporate/regulatory matters
