Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Chicago corporate team with a focus on private equity, venture capital and M&A. The role will involve leading complex transactions, originating and growing client relationships, and collaborating across finance and transactional groups.

This is a partner-level opening for an experienced deal lawyer who can manage high-value matters, supervise associates, and contribute to business development. The team advises sponsors, strategic buyers and emerging growth companies on buyouts, growth investments and corporate combinations.

Partner-level experience in private equity and M&A transactions with a proven deal record
Portable client relationships / demonstrated ability to originate and grow business
Strong transactional and drafting skills; experience leading cross-border or complex deals preferred
Track record of supervising teams and developing junior lawyers
Admission to the relevant state bar and good standing
