Lateral Partner — Emerging Companies & Venture Capital, Washington, DC

Seeking a lateral partner to join a well-established US law firm’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on advising emerging-growth companies, venture investors and related stakeholders across formation, financings and growth transactions.

The team handles a range of matters for startups and growth-stage clients, including venture financings, company formation, corporate governance and strategic commercial agreements. This opening is for a senior rainmaker who will deepen and expand the practice in the region.

• Established partner with a proven track record in emerging companies, venture capital or startups.
• Demonstrable portable practice or book of business appropriate for a partner role.
• Strong transactional experience: financings, equity arrangements, corporate governance and startup commercial agreements.
• Admission to the DC bar or ability to practice in the jurisdiction preferred; excellent client development and leadership skills.
