Leading national practice seeks a lateral partner to join its Energy & Environmental team in Düsseldorf. The role involves advising on regulatory, transactional and project-related matters across the energy sector, including renewables and conventional generation, with cross-border aspects.

The team acts for developers, investors and utilities on permitting, regulatory compliance, project development and disputes. This is a high-visibility role with opportunities to lead mandates, develop client relationships and mentor junior lawyers.

Portable practice welcomed — candidates with an existing energy-related client base and demonstrable track record of originating and running matters will be strongly considered.

Established partner or counsel with significant experience in energy and/or environmental law
Proven track record on regulatory, project and transactional matters in the energy sector
Ability to originate and manage client relationships; portable practice welcomed
Qualified to practise in Germany (or equivalent) and fluent in German and English
