Lateral Partner, Energy & Environmental Litigation — San Francisco

Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its San Francisco litigation team focused on energy and environmental matters. The role involves handling complex disputes, regulatory enforcement matters, and high-stakes litigation for clients across the energy and environmental sectors.

The successful candidate will lead matters from intake through trial, work closely with cross‑office teams, and contribute to strategic client counselling on regulatory and transactional litigation risk. There is an opportunity to expand an existing practice and work with sophisticated corporate and governmental clients.

• Established partner with significant litigation experience in energy and/or environmental matters
• Track record of leading large, complex cases — trial and appellate experience preferred
• Strong regulatory, administrative law, or enforcement background in the energy/environmental space
• Demonstrated client development ability; portable practice or proven book-building record preferred
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, and project-management skills; able to work collaboratively across offices
