Growing New York office seeks a lateral partner to lead and expand a cross-practice energy team focused on energy tax, renewable projects, oil & gas, maritime construction and infrastructure matters. The role combines transactional tax and regulatory work with project-development and construction-related counseling.

Ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record advising sponsors, lenders or project participants on energy-related transactions and regulatory matters, and will work closely with environmental and construction specialists within the group.

Portable practice or book of business in the energy/renewables or related infrastructure space is welcome and will be a key consideration in the hire.

Experienced partner-level lawyer with substantial practice in energy and related regulatory/tax matters
Significant background advising on renewable energy projects, oil & gas, or energy infrastructure and construction or maritime-related project work
Strong transactional, regulatory and tax acumen; ability to lead client relationships and business development
Admission to the relevant jurisdiction (New York) or ability to transfer/admit
