The role covers energy transactional and regulatory work, energy tax matters, and related maritime and construction issues for infrastructure and renewables clients.
The team advises on project development, regulatory compliance, tax structuring, and construction/contract disputes across renewable energy, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors. The firm is looking for a senior lawyer who will take a visible client-facing role and help expand regional capabilities.
Portable practice or an established book of business in the energy/renewables/infrastructure space is welcome and will be considered in the hiring decision.
- Proven partner-level experience in energy, environmental, tax or construction/maritime matters, with a focus on project development, regulatory or transactional work.
- Track record of originating and managing client relationships; portable practice preferred.
- Strong technical skills in energy regulatory and tax issues, and familiarity with construction and maritime aspects of energy projects.
- Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and ability to work from the Orange County office.
