Apply in confidence →Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Charlotte office to lead and grow an integrated energy and environmental practice. The role will advise on matters across energy (including renewables and oil & gas), energy tax, maritime and construction-linked issues, and related infrastructure projects.
The position requires a senior lawyer able to originate and manage client relationships, lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate tax, regulatory and transactional workstreams. A portable practice or demonstrated track record of business development in the energy/infrastructure sector is welcome.
- Established partner-level experience in energy and environmental work, with exposure to renewables, oil & gas, or infrastructure transactions and project work.
- Experience advising on tax, regulatory and construction/maritime aspects of energy projects.
- Proven client origination and practice development ability; comfortable leading teams and cross-practice collaboration.
- Strong negotiation, drafting and transaction-management skills; able to mentor senior associates.
