The role will handle a mix of transactional, regulatory and project-related work across traditional and renewable energy sectors, with occasional maritime and construction-related issues.
The successful candidate will join a cross-practice team advising developers, owners and operators on regulatory compliance, tax structuring and project documentation. This is a partner-level slot for an experienced practitioner who can contribute technically and commercially while helping grow regional revenues.
Portable business is welcome; the firm is looking for a partner able to develop client relationships and lead matters locally and with national/regional colleagues.
- Established partner-level experience in energy and related tax or environmental work; experience with renewables or gas regulation a plus
- History of handling transactional and regulatory matters, project or construction-related disputes or maritime issues is advantageous
- Proven client development skills and ability to originate or expand business
- Bar admission in Texas or eligibility to obtain admission; strong academic and professional references
