A leading US law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join and grow its Energy & Environmental practice in the Virginia Beach area. The role focuses on counseling energy and infrastructure clients on regulatory, permitting, and transactional matters, and on managing complex environmental issues across projects.

The position combines client-facing work, matter management and business development. The successful candidate will lead engagements, supervise junior attorneys, and work cross-practice on infrastructure and energy-related matters. A portable practice or demonstrated ability to originate and grow client relationships is welcome.

Established partner-level track record in energy and environmental law, including infrastructure-related matters.
Experience leading deals, regulatory matters, or major projects; proven team leadership and supervision skills.
Demonstrated business development skills and a portable or developable client base.
Admission or eligibility to be admitted in the relevant state jurisdiction; strong professional references and reputation.
