Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Energy & Environmental practice in Washington, D.C. The role will focus on regulatory counseling and litigation matters involving EPA and other federal environmental programs, with significant work for clients in the energy sector.

The team advises on enforcement defense, permitting, compliance programs, and transactional diligence. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned practitioner able to handle high‑stakes regulatory matters and provide strategic advice to corporate and industry clients.

• Established partner with substantial experience in environmental law, preferably including EPA practice or comparable federal regulatory work
• Proven track record advising energy-sector clients on enforcement, permitting, compliance, and related transactional issues
• Strong litigation or regulatory advocacy skills before federal agencies and courts
• Portable client relationships and an ability to originate or expand business in the energy industry
