Leading national law firm seeks an experienced energy partner to join its Houston team and grow a portable oil & gas practice. The role focuses on advising energy clients across transactional, project and regulatory matters, with opportunities to lead deals and mentor junior lawyers.

The successful candidate will take a client-facing role, handling complex upstream and midstream matters, negotiating commercial agreements, and navigating federal and state regulatory issues. There is an expectation of contributing to business development and bringing a portable book of business.

Partner-level experience in energy law, with a focus on oil & gas or related sectors.
Proven track record of originating and managing client relationships; ability to bring a portable practice.
Experience with transactions, commercial contracting and regulatory matters relevant to the energy sector.
Strong leadership and business development skills; ability to mentor associates and lead deal teams.
