Leading Chicago office of a major US law firm is seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow an environmental and energy litigation practice. The role emphasizes courtroom and regulatory dispute experience across environmental enforcement, energy-sector litigation, and related regulatory proceedings.

The partner will have responsibility for originating and managing sophisticated matters, mentoring associates, and coordinating with national teams on cross-jurisdictional disputes. The team supports trial-ready advocacy, complex motion practice, and regulatory strategy work.

Admission to practice in the relevant state and active litigation experience in environmental and/or energy matters
Established track record of handling complex enforcement, civil litigation or regulatory proceedings; trial and hearing experience preferred
Proven ability to originate and maintain client relationships; portable practice or demonstrable business development ability is highly valued
Strong writing, oral advocacy, and team leadership skills
