Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Finance & Banking group on a Canada-wide basis. This is an opportunistic hire: the team is prepared to add the right senior hire who will broaden and deepen the practice rather than handle overflow work.

Work will focus on complex finance transactions across a diverse finance practice (including asset-based lending and specialty finance). Cultural fit and the ability to integrate with the existing team are as important as technical capability.

Established partner-level finance practice with a demonstrable track record on complex transactions.
Portable book of business appropriate to partner level; ability to generate and develop client relationships.
Proven team leadership and experience supervising associates on sizeable matters.
Strong commercial judgment, business development skills, and cultural fit with a collaborative group.
