Opportunity for a partner-level lawyer to lead and grow a healthcare and life sciences practice for a major international law firm’s Tokyo presence. The role suits a senior practitioner with deep sector experience across regulatory, commercial and transactional matters in healthcare and life sciences.

The appointment is being considered on a location-agnostic basis with flexibility for remote working tied to client needs. The firm seeks a partner who can develop client relationships and contribute to firm growth in Japan and the wider APAC region.

Proven partner-level experience in healthcare and/or life sciences law, including regulatory and commercial matters.
Track record of originating or materially expanding client relationships; ability to build a portable practice or contribute significant business development.
Admitted to practice in Japan or eligible to work on matters from Tokyo; strong knowledge of local regulatory environment.
Excellent client-facing and leadership skills; collaborative approach to working with international teams.
