Lateral Partner — Intellectual Property (Patents & Litigation) — Sioux Falls

Leading law firm seeks a lateral partner to expand its Intellectual Property practice in Sioux Falls. The role combines patent prosecution, licensing, and contentious work, including Hatch‑Waxman matters and U.S. International Trade Commission (Section 337) investigations.

The partner will lead and develop IP litigation and prosecution matters, supervise junior lawyers, collaborate with national teams, and participate in business development to grow a regional and national client base. Portable client relationships or a demonstrable record of generating work are welcome.

• Established partner-level experience in patent prosecution, licensing, and patent litigation.
• Experience with Hatch‑Waxman litigation and ITC (Section 337) matters preferred.
• Proven client development and team leadership abilities; ability to work with cross‑office/national teams.
• Admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction; registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office or extensive patent experience desirable.
