Lateral Partner — Intellectual Property (Patents & Trademarks) — Sioux Falls

Established national firm is seeking a lateral partner to lead and expand its intellectual property practice in Sioux Falls. The role focuses on patent and trademark work across prosecution, enforcement, and litigation, with opportunities to manage and grow a regional IP platform.

The practice handles a range of technology-driven matters and contentious IP disputes but is not seeking work for streaming-platform matters. The incoming partner will join a collaborative team of litigators and patent practitioners and will have strong institutional support for business development and case resourcing.

• Proven partner-level experience handling patent and trademark matters, including litigation and prosecution.
• Track record of originating or developing business and the ability to grow a portable IP practice.
• Admission to the state bar where based; patent prosecution candidates should have USPTO registration or equivalent patent qualification preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude, courtroom experience, and client-facing business development skills.
