Lateral Partner — Intellectual Property (Patents & Trademarks) — Washington, D.C.

Established national firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Washington, D.C. IP team. The role focuses on patent and trademark matters, including prosecution and contentious work, for a mix of technology and media clients.

Ideal candidate will lead and expand a portable IP practice, working with cross-office teams on client development and strategic matters. The role offers significant responsibility for originating work and supervising associates.

• Proven partner-level experience handling patent and trademark matters, including contentious work
• Active bar admission and technical background or qualifications relevant to patent practice
• Demonstrated ability to generate and manage client work; portable book of business preferred
• Strong leadership, business development, and team management skills
