Established German law firm is seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow its Intellectual Property and Technology practice from the Berlin office. The role will focus on advising corporate and life-sciences clients on IP strategy, technology-related transactions, licensing and enforcement matters.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team working across IP, tech and life sciences matters, collaborating with corporate and regulatory colleagues. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for originating work, mentoring junior lawyers and expanding the practice in the German market.

Applicants should have an established, portable practice or demonstrable client origination record; the firm is flexible on exact book-of-business size but is looking for a partner who can contribute immediately to revenue and client relationships.

Experienced partner-level lawyer with a strong IP and technology practice and demonstrable track record of client origination
Expertise in IP (patent/trade mark/licensing) and technology transactions; life-sciences experience advantageous
Admitted in Germany and able to practice from the Berlin office; fluent German and English
Proven leadership skills, business development capability and experience mentoring teams
