Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Investment Funds / Private Equity fund-formation team in New York. The role focuses on advising private equity sponsors and institutional investors on fund formation, governance and related transactional matters across domestic and cross-border structures.

The team works closely with the firm’s corporate and M&A departments on connected deal work and offers significant opportunities to lead sophisticated fund-related engagements for institutional clients. Multiple partner hires are possible for strong candidates with an established fund practice.

Established partner with a demonstrable private equity or investment funds practice.
Proven experience advising on fund formation, investor-side matters and fund governance.
Track record of originating or materially contributing to client relationships; portable practice or demonstrable book of business preferred.
Excellent commercial judgment, strong drafting and client-facing skills; ability to work collaboratively with corporate/M&A teams on cross-practice matters.
