Leading German law firm seek a lateral partner to join its Hamburg marine insurance team. The role focuses on contentious and advisory work arising from shipping, hull and cargo claims, and related insurance coverage matters.

The team advises domestic and international insurers, reinsurers and commercial clients on high-value marine disputes and policy interpretation. This is an opportunity to play a senior role in a well-established practice with cross-border work.

The firm is open to a single senior hire or a partner moving with a team; candidates with a portable practice or strong client relationships are encouraged to apply.

Established partner-level experience in marine/maritime insurance matters (contentious and advisory).
Track record advising insurers, reinsurers or insureds on hull, cargo and related claims.
Ability to develop and manage client relationships; portable practice or team welcome.
Fluent German and English; admitted to practice in Germany or equivalent experience in maritime insurance practice.
