Leading international law firm seeks an experienced partner to build and lead patent litigation practice in Munich, with a focus on German patent disputes and Unified Patent Court (UPC) matters. This role fills a gap in the office’s IP capability, complementing an existing team that currently focuses on soft IP (trademarks and copyright).

The partner will take a front-line role handling high-value patent litigation, advising on injunctions, validity challenges and cross-border enforcement within the UPC framework, while developing client relationships and originating new business in Germany and across Europe.

Established patent litigator admitted in Germany with significant German litigation experience
Proven track record with German patent cases and practical UPC experience
Demonstrable client relationships and ability to bring a portable practice / book of business
Strong litigation advocacy and case-management skills; commercial awareness and business development capability
Fluent in German and English
