Lateral Partner — Private Credit & Leveraged Finance (US-focused, potential UK option)

Leading international law firm seeks a lateral partner to grow a lender-side private credit and leveraged finance practice. The role focuses on originating and leading transactions for financial institutions and other lenders across key U.S. markets, with occasional coordination on cross-border matters.

The hire will be expected to develop new lending relationships, expand existing lender-side engagements, and work closely with corporate and finance teams on complex financing structures. There is potential scope to support select U.K. activity, though the primary emphasis is on U.S. growth markets.

• Established partner with proven experience on lender-side private credit and leveraged finance matters.
• Track record of originating and closing transactions and managing deal teams.
• Portable client relationships or demonstrable ability to build a book of business in target U.S. markets.
• Strong commercial judgment, excellent client-facing and business development skills, and ability to collaborate across corporate and finance practices.
• Bar qualification in a U.S. jurisdiction; additional U.K. qualification a plus but not required.
