Lateral Partner — Private Equity & M&A (US/UK)

Major international law firm is seeking a partner to help lead and grow its private equity practice across the US and UK. The role offers significant autonomy to develop a market-facing private equity platform and to run a personal practice within an existing, growing PE infrastructure.

The position is practice-builder focused: you will lead complex buyouts, minority investments and fund-related matters, mentor junior lawyers, and work with cross-border deal teams. The firm has an established but deliberately compact PE footprint, giving an incoming partner scope to shape strategy and originate work.

• Established partner with a demonstrable private equity/M&A track record.
• Experience leading buyouts, minority investments and/or fund-related work on cross-border matters.
• Proven ability to originate and develop client relationships; a portable practice is welcomed.
• Strong leadership and team management skills; comfortable building a practice within an existing platform.
• Admission/qualification in the relevant jurisdiction(s) or equivalent transaction experience.
