Well-established German law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Cologne office to lead and develop restructuring and corporate work. The role combines insolvency/restructuring advisory with transactional and corporate governance matters for German and international clients.

The successful candidate will take a senior role within a cross-practice team, handling complex restructurings, turnaround mandates and related corporate transactions. There is scope to shape the practice, mentor junior lawyers and expand client relationships.

Qualified lawyer with significant partner-level experience in restructuring/insolvency and corporate transactions.
Proven track record advising on complex restructurings, distressed M&A or insolvency-related corporate work.
Established network in Germany and the ability or willingness to develop client relationships in Cologne and beyond.
Comfortable leading teams and supervising associates; fluent German and strong English skills.
Portable practice / book of business welcomed and will be a key consideration.
