Well-regarded national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow its restructuring and finance practice in the Austin office. This is a partner-level role with a focus on complex restructuring, distressed financings and related bankruptcy matters.

The successful candidate will advise corporate debtors, creditors and other stakeholders on in-court and out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A and financing restructurings. Work will be collaborative and cross-functional, drawing on national resources and an established restructuring team.

We are looking for a commercially minded leader who can manage high-stakes matters, mentor junior lawyers, and help expand client relationships. A portable practice or demonstrable origination ability is a plus.

Established partner-level experience in restructuring, insolvency or distressed finance matters
Proven client relationship, origination or practice-building skills
Strong litigation and/or transactional experience in bankruptcy or out-of-court restructurings
Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities; team-oriented approach
