Lateral Partner — Restructuring & Finance, Los Angeles

Leading US law firm seeking a lateral partner to help expand its Los Angeles restructuring and finance capability. The role will focus on growing both lender-side high-yield/distressed debt work and debtor-side bankruptcy/restructuring matters.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team advising sophisticated creditor and debtor constituencies on complex restructurings, workouts, distressed financings and related insolvency litigation. This is a business-development oriented role with opportunities to build a portable practice and mentor junior lawyers.

• Established partner with significant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring and distressed/debt work (lender- and/or debtor-side).
• Proven track record of originating or materially contributing to client relationships and a portable practice.
• Strong transactional and/or litigation skills in insolvency-related matters, including negotiations, restructurings and creditor-side work.
• Ability to lead engagements, develop business and integrate into a collaborative team in the Los Angeles market.
