Lateral Partner, Securities & Corporate — Canada

Leading national law firm is seeking a Lateral Partner to join its Corporate team with a primary focus on securities matters. The role will advise issuers and underwriters on public and private offerings, continuous disclosure, and related corporate governance and securities compliance issues.

The successful candidate will join an established securities practice, working on cross-border and domestic transactions alongside experienced corporate colleagues. This is an opportunity to develop a market-facing practice within a well-resourced platform while contributing to business development and client relationship growth.

There is an expectation that candidates will bring an established, portable practice consistent with a partner-level role; the firm is seeking demonstrable origination and client relationships in the securities space.

• Senior partner-level experience in securities and corporate law, with a strong track record on public and private offerings, disclosure and governance matters.
• Demonstrable book of business/portable practice and proven origination capabilities.
• Established client relationships and ability to contribute to practice growth and business development.
• Licensed to practise in Canada (or eligible for admission); excellent technical, drafting and client-facing skills.
