Leading global law firm is seeking a Lateral Partner to join its Toronto securities team on an immediate basis. The role focuses on regulatory work for FinTech and crypto market participants, with primary responsibility for registration and licensing of trading platforms and related securities regulatory matters.

This is a senior, client-facing role ideal for a lawyer with deep securities regulatory experience in the cryptocurrency/FinTech space who can advise on platform launches, regulatory compliance and dealings with Canadian regulators. The position responds to increased transactional and regulatory activity in crypto and payments markets.

Senior securities/regulatory experience with a strong track record on registration and licensing matters (crypto trading platforms and FinTech firms).
Significant experience advising on Canadian securities and regulatory frameworks affecting digital asset businesses.
Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships; portable practice or demonstrated business development capability desirable.
Excellent communication skills and experience leading cross-disciplinary teams on regulatory and transactional matters.
